The thing went to the trash next week - it's not powerful at all, doesn't pick up any liquids, and gets clogged right away even with the Cheerios. We have a young child and Cheerios and other baby foods are the main things that need to be picked up in the car. I ended up picking it up all by hand AND cleaning the vac. The bottom line - don't waste your money with this junk and buy a decent one!

Today, though, it started cutting out, then smoke poured from the handle where it was plugged in to the outdoor heavy duty extension cord. Thank God I hadn't left it alone, or plugged in in my garage.Instead of getting a bargain, I now not only am out the money for a weed eater, but a $40 outdoor extension cord as well. A gas powered, loud, exhaust spewing trimmer would have been cheaper and safer. On a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the best, this is a -10.

(More customer reviews)I bought this blower because it had the best specifications for blowers available in this price range. Air volume and air speed are 2 different things and both are important for good performance. I quickly learned that this blower achieves the rated 200MPH air speed only with the reducing nozzle attached.(look at the pictures closely). The nozzle makes the airstream rather small, which makes for slow going. It actually works better with the reducer removed. Overall, performance is pretty good for the money but reliability is another story. My unit was hard to start from day one. Once warmed up it would restart fairly easily until it got TOO warm, then it wouldn't start at all! Not very convenient if you make your living cutting grass and doing yard clean ups as I do. (I used this small blower just to clean off driveways after cutting)I had to carry my big backpack blower around as a backup for when the Poulan wouldn't start.
The last straw for me was when the pull cord broke...and that was after only 3 months of use!
To sum up let me just say "you get what you pay for". Spend just a little more and get a blower that will be reliable. Ive had good luck with both Echo and Tanaka products and will stay with these brands in the future.

Please vote, so I know someone is reading these :^) First of all, this is *not* a professional grade tool.It is neither as powerful nor as rugged as the truly industrial-strength brands.It's basically a Poulan Weedeater (think Wal-Mart) with a saw attachment (think Lowes/HD).Professional grade tools come from Outdoor Power and your local saw shop or your local mower shop.This is for you and me to use a few times per year, so's we don't fall off a ladder with our regular chain saws, not for tree-trimmers who would use it every day.

Secondly, you MUST keep your saw sharp, and you MUST know how to execute cuts to keep from binding your saw.It's this simple.No amount of complaining or money spent on more expensive models will save you from yourself.For this, I am very sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Now, here's the good news ... there are websites out there that will show you the way to make the most common cuts.How to under cut first, where to watch the limb/tree to know to retract *before* you're in a bind. Secondly, Oregon Saws offers a free document on their website on how to sharpen a chain saw.

This little guy can neither be set up too "hungry" nor can you let it get too dull, and expect any sort of good results.This tool is meant for a very specific job, and not really anything else.If you're using it to make even small firewood, you're testing it's limits, though, I'm confident I could make a little firewood with it if I had to.It would be slow-going compared to my traditional saws.Likewise, blazing or limbing or pruning trees with my traditional chainsaws is no fun when compared to the extended reach of this little guy. There's a tool for every job, and most importantly, there's a way to properly use, service and maintain every tool.It's not rocket ... uh ... surgery ... or anything, but it will take about 30 minutes of your "hobby-time" to read up on what it takes to make a saw cut, and then confidently execute a cut well.There is nothing wrong with this tool ... much like there is nothing wrong with my golf clubs ... :-)
